I officially launched Kendal Banks Photography in 2023—but truthfully, I’ve been storytelling through images since I was a kid, scrapbooking family photos with my grandma and burning through stacks of disposable cameras at summer camp. In high school and college, I was that girl with the digital camera at every party—documenting the blurry, beautiful chaos of growing up. (Shoutout to those immortalized memories still living their best lives on Facebook.)

Looking back, I’ve always been a nostalgic romantic.
And now, as a mom, that pull toward preserving memory has only deepened.
My drive as a photographer is rooted in those moments that make you pause and think, “I wish I could live in this forever.” I want to bottle that feeling—the love, the light, the chaos, the calm—and hand it back to you in a way that lets you feel it all over again.
This work is more than pretty pictures. It’s about connection. About storytelling. About honoring the chapters that make your story yours—from wild wedding days to quiet snuggles on the couch. I’m here to catch the fleeting stuff—the messy magic and the soulful seconds that might otherwise slip by.

People say I’m the kind of person who instantly puts you at ease—super chill, always down to laugh, and just the right amount of chaos coordinator thrown in. Which, let’s be honest, comes in very handy on a day like your wedding.
I’m a bit of an over-sharer, a closet reality TV lover (no shame), book lover and a big believer that most bad days can be turned around with a patio beverage, chips + salsa and the people you love.
I believe that: All love is beautiful, valid and sacred; No person is illegal; Cannabis is helpful to many (and makes a fun addition to a wedding); Women's health decisions should be 100% left to them + their doctors; You should be able to present yourself however you choose in the world without discrimination or hate. If you disagree with these - I'm not the right photographer for you.
