Not feeling the big wedding energy? I get it. I hate being the center of attention and when you’re trying to buy a house, car, pay student loans and just generally afford life – the idea of spending a TON of money on a party can be…overwhelming to say the least. You’re not alone—and you’re NOT wrong for wanting something different. The truth is, your wedding doesn’t have to be a 200-guest production with assigned seating and a six-page timeline. There doesn’t have to be a big production, cake that no one eats and the cha-cha slide.

Your wedding can look HOWEVER you want it to. It can be something much more personal, much more YOU. Elopements are the perfect way to inject more fun and less pressure into the start of your life together. Think a Colorado mountain elopement with pizza and beers post summit. A slow, golden-hour on lake Michigan to exchange your vows…just the two of you (and your third wheel with a camera—hi, it’s me).

Elopements let you focus on what actually matters: the two of you, in love, choosing each other. No pressure, no expectations, no forced traditions. Just your story unfolding however you want it to—with laughs, quiet moments, movement, mess, and magic. Whether it’s a motorcycle ride to your favorite Kansas prairie, a vow exchange atop a 14-er or your favorite drinks after a sunset swim in the ocean, the backdrop doesn’t matter as much as the freedom to do it your way.
